Team Collaboration

Build Regex Together, Ship Faster

Share patterns, co-edit workspaces, and manage team libraries — all in one playground. The ultimate playground for regular expressions.

Why Teams Choose RegexNest

RegexNest replaces scattered text files and Slack threads with a shared workspace where your whole team can write, test, and version-control regular expressions in real time. From data-engineering squads at Dataflow AB to QA automation teams at NexaBridge, over 1,200 engineering teams use RegexNest daily.

Real-Time Co-Editing

Multiple engineers edit the same regex pattern simultaneously. See live cursors, instant test updates, and conflict-free merging — just like a code editor, but for expressions.

Shared Pattern Libraries

Curate a central library of validated patterns with descriptions, test cases, and usage examples. Tag patterns by project, language, or data source so anyone on the team can find what they need in seconds.

Version History & Rollbacks

Every pattern save is timestamped and attributed. Revert to any previous version, compare diffs, and track who changed what — no more "who broke the email validator" blame games.

Workspace Demo

Open a shared workspace and invite teammates via email or link. Each workspace contains multiple pattern tabs, a shared test string panel, and a notes section for documenting edge cases.

In this workspace, Sarah (data engineer) and Marcus (backend developer) are collaborating on a CSV parser regex. Sarah adds test strings on the right while Marcus refines the capture groups. The live match count updates instantly for both users. When they're done, they pin the pattern to the team library under "Data Ingestion / CSV Parsers."

Invite by Email or Link

Send an invite to sarah@dataflow.se or share a direct workspace link. Guests can view-only or edit — you control the access level before they even join.

Pin to Team Library

When a pattern is battle-tested, pin it to your team library with metadata: language flavor, performance notes, and known edge cases. Pinned patterns are read-only by default to prevent accidental edits.

Permissions & Access Control

Fine-grained permissions keep your regex assets secure. Set role-based access at the workspace, pattern, and library level — from full admin control to read-only guest view.

Owner

Full Control

Create and delete workspaces, manage team members, configure library visibility, and export all patterns. Workspace owners like team lead Elin Bergström at NexaBridge typically hold this role.

Editor

Edit & Share

Create, edit, and delete patterns within workspaces. Invite guests with view-only access. Cannot delete workspaces or change library settings. Ideal for senior engineers contributing to the team library.

Viewer

Read-Only Access

Browse workspaces, copy patterns, and view test cases. Cannot edit, delete, or invite others. Perfect for onboarding new team members or sharing with stakeholders who need reference patterns.

Permission changes take effect immediately. You can adjust roles at any time from the workspace settings panel. Audit logs record every permission change with timestamps and user names, so you always know who changed what and when.
